Reducing the clutter in your life to free
up space to relax and enjoy your home is easier than it may seem and has far
reaching benefits. Follow these tips to
a clean, neat and tidy clutter-free home:
When in doubt, throw it out. If you cant
find an immediate use for an item, give it to a friend, take it to a recycling centre,
or offer it to a charity.
Recycle. Set up recycling containers in a
convenient location. No need to break the bank, any convenient bins in a handy
spot will suffice.
Sort your mail daily and throw away and
recycle everything you dont need and wont read.
Sort through your drawers, cupboards, home
office, attic and garage as often as possible
Dont hang on to items which you imagine
may come in useful one day chances are they wont, or by the time you
remember you have the item it will be broken or hidden under a pile of other
clutter.
Filing cabinets are inexpensive assets to
home organization, and they can be kept in a closet, attic or basement if you
do not have a home office.
Discard or recycle clothes you havent worn
in the last year.
Discard and give away you childrens old
toys and games.
Store all your important papers in one
place. Also keep similar papers together: keep car related papers together, home insurance documents
in a safe place along with your content insurance papers,
and travel documents together with your passport and so on.
