Oct. 30–After a four-year absence, the Department of Insurance on Thursday revived a popular and controversial performance review of California’s insurance industry.
The Consumer Complaint Study, which ranks companies based on their alleged missteps, is available free on the Internet (www.insurance.ca.gov) or at department offices.
“It’s long overdue,” said Lillian Salinger of the Proposition 103 Enforcement Project, an insurance watchdog group.
